Vision StatementThrough Jesus Christ, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission strives to be the model for providing hope and life-changes which equip those who seek its help for independent living and spiritual fulfillment.A Brief HistoryIn 1970, six Las Vegas businessmen and Pastor Ed Compton had a burden to help those who were homeless and hungry. Together they secured a tiny storefront at what is now 480 West Bonanza Road and began to hand out sandwiches and drinks. They also provided mats and blankets so men could sleep away from the elements. ServicesOur Primary focus is a 12-month Recovery program for those who have Addictions and desire a life change. Recovery Program
The program includes:
Redemption - Spiritual healing, counseling and training Recovery - 12 Biblical based steps Restoration - Work Therapy and Career Skills A 12 month residential program for individuals with the desire to overcome addictive behaviors and lead a more fulfilling life. Our program focus is on the "inner person" while meeting immediate physical needs. We provide residence and support for 120 men and women annually. There is no charge for our services.
