Las Vegas Rotary Club was established in 1923 is a part of the worldwide fellowship of Rotary International. Rotary international service organization has 1.2 million members in 200 countries, with 32,000 clubs.The Las Vegas Rotary Club is rich in history of more than 86-years of service in the Southern Nevada area. Rotary’s high ideals of friendship, fellowship, international understanding, and service are applied in personal, business, and community life by the over 159 members of our Las Vegas Rotary Club. Do You Have Nine Cents? That is all it takes to help feed a fellow human. Las Vegas Rotary Club Can Food drive has teamed up with local grocery stores and for every 9 cents you donate we can purchase one can of food. Obviously this is much cheaper than you going to the store buying cans and bringing them to donate. A single dollar (11 cans + 1 penny left over) will go to feed people of the Las Vegas area. Funds collected go to feeding the less fortunate of Las Vegas. Remember 9 cents is the difference between a person having food. .Our goal by November 24 is to raise $90,000 which is 1,000,000 cans of food. This may seem like a lot of cans of food, but in Las Vegas every month 96,000 people are feed at food shelters. All money collected will go to buying cans of food for the Salvation Army of Las Vegas. A small donation of even $10 will provide 111 cans of food, which seems like a small price to pay to help another human.
