 HISTORY

rcp-img-1In 1938, Radio City Pizzeria Creator Elias Ghanem II's great grandparents moved from Brooklyn-Queens to Melville, Long Island where they bought a flower stand and turned it into a hot dog stand. From there they went on to build a small restaurant called Rosie's In and Cooney's Out that served homemade recipes so delicious they attracted visitors from miles away.

As Long Island grew, so did Rosie's In and Cooney's Out and in 1952 the couple built Cozy Cabins bar. Several years later they opened Herrmanns-Barolo, an Italian restaurant that remains in the family to this day.

rcp-img-2Elias' grandmother Marilyn was raised in the restaurant and hospitality industry and loved working with her parents. She loved listening to the jukebox, seeing people enjoy themselves while sipping beer and wine and she especially cherished the social atmosphere.

rcp-img-3One day, Marilyn met a customer that was auditioning to become a Radio City Rockette. After chatting with her, Marilyn informed her daughter Jody that the Rockette's were looking for new performers and after auditioning in 1974, Jody became a Radio City Rockette. She met Elias' father, Dr. Ghanem, in 1979 when the Rockette's were performing with Liberace at the Las Vegas Hilton. The legendary pianist introduced the couple to each other and the family has called Las Vegas home ever since.

Today, Elias showcases his family's rich history in the hospitality industry with the creation of Radio City Pizzeria. Featuring gourmet pizzas served by the slice or by the pie, signature sandwhiches, salads, zeppole and cannoli, Radio City Pizzeria aims to give visitors an authentic and traditional Italian pizzeria experience they will never forget.

I USED MY GIFT CERTIFICATE. THIS PLACE COULD BE THE REASON TIVOLI VILLAGE GETS FOOT TRAFFIC.

MY REVIEW OF RADIO CITY PIZZERIA:
THE PIZZA I ORDERED HAD THIN CRUST AND JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TOMATO SAUCE. I HAD SAUSAGE BACON ON ONE. I ENJOYED THE PIZZA. I HAD THE BASIC SALAD WITH RANCH. IT WAS TASTY. IT HAD RED ONIONS AND WAS NICELY CHILLED. ALSO HAD AN ORDER OF CHICKEN WINGS, THIS WAS A GREAT SNACK. TO DRINK (IT'S GONE UP IN PRICE BUT NOT DOWN IN VALUE) THE PABST BLUE RIBBON IS NOW A BUCK A GLASS NOT 50 CENTS. IT WAS PERFECTLY CHILLED, I HAD THREE OF THOSE. THE ATMOSPHERE THERE IS QUITE RELAXING AND THERES GREAT HISTORY ON THE WALL. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, THE STAFF EXCELLENT. ITS GOING TO BE GREAT FOR DOWNTOWN WHEN THE SECOND ONE OPENS UP. WHILE THERE THE PLACE HAS BUSINESS MOMS AND KIDS AND BUSINESS WORKERS. I HAD LUNCH AT 1PM ON A THURSDAY. AS NO ONE WAS FREE I USED THE WHOLE THING ON MY SELF. IT WAS WORTH THE WALK FROM CHARLESTON DOWN RAMPART
